I am trying to track down relations of John McCLURE and Agnes FRASER (aka FRIZEL). Their son, Alexander 1792-1876 married 1st Jane FORTAY and 2nd Catherine CUMMINGS (1798-1890). My husband is the great-great-great grandson of Alexander and Catherine via their son, James (1839-1880) who migrated to Australia.
Other children I know of for John and Agnes are: David (1795-1872)married Jane SHENNAN, John (abt 1796-?) married Mary DONNAN, Agnes (1797-1874) married William STEWART, Peter (1799-?) and Elizabeth (1802-1891) married John PATERSON.

Does anyone know the christians names of the Fergusons that used to run Lochvale Boys Home. I am researching the Kirkpatrick/McGeorge/Cannon line on my family tree and I seem to have come up against a brick wall.

i am trying to trace the family ancestry of Grace Bell b. 1831 Dumfries and Galloway. Grace married Andrew Elliot of Half Morton Dumfries on 27.8.1852 in Westkirk Dumfrieshire. That is all the information I have so far. Any help would be appreciated.

I am trying to track down any living descendants of Samuel Carruthers (1951) and Grace Lindsay (1854). The children I know of are: Janet, Margaret, Agnes, Samuel, Thomas(?). The grandkids I know of: Grace, 14 in 1911(mother Agnes Carruthers) and Robert Lindsay Hannah, 1904 (mother Janet Carruthers. Both Grace and Robert L. H. were living with their Grandfather, Samuel Carruthers in 1911. I do have a picture of Samuel. He is standing beside a bush that is in front of a house, he has a large full white beard and P Cap on. With a Jacket and Vest, a chain hanging from the best, possibly a pocket watch. This picture was sent to Canada, where Samuels daughter Janet lived. Samuel died in 1934, in Newbigging.

I am inquiring about information for my mother\'s family. Her maiden name is Galloway and her family has been traced back to Scotland and this seems like a logical place to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
